Analysis for 233 Cases on Clinic Application
of the Affiliated Overseas Chinese Hospital, Hospital of Jinan University

Cardio-/cerebrovascular diseases are common and frequently-incurring diseases which seriously threatens the health of human being. With the growth of China’s national economy, the incidence rate of cardio-/cerebrovascular diseases is increasing year on year. In recent years, many therapeutic methods and drugs have emerged and we have obtained a better result. The Cardio-/cerebrovascular Therapeutic Instrument provided by King Tontown Medical Instrument Co., Ltd was first applied in the affiliated hospital of Sun Yat-sen Medical University and Zhujiang Hospital of the First Military Medical University and the therapeutic effect was satisfying. So our hospital introduced one set of this instrument in May 1996, and we have use it in clinics for more than one year with a better effect. Now, we report it as below:
I. Objects:
We got 233 patients including 128 male cases averaged at 67.5 years old.
1. Coronary heart disease: 100 cases of inpatients and they all had ECG check showing the change of myocardial ischemia. Some patients were with typical angina pectoris. Among them, 21 cases had a high blood pressure and 17 cases with abnormal heart rhythm.
2. High Blood Pressure: Ⅰ- Ⅱ: 80 cases with more than one year of illness course.
3. Autonomic Nerve Function Disorder: 10 cases with symptoms of palpitation, chest distress, short breath and bad sleep.
4. Vertebro-basilar Artery Insufficiency (including cervical spondylosis and hardening of common carotid artery): 8 cases
5. Myocarditis and Bacteria: 8 cases
6. Others: 7 cases with heart failure of RHD, chronic emphysema, pulmonary heart disease, diabetes and arthritis.
II. Therapeutic Method
To carry out the treatment by taking drugs and the CCTI of King Tontown Medical Instrument Co., Ltd. The frequency is 30-60 mins/time/day, and 10 times as one therapeutic course. The treatment will last for 1-3 courses.
III. Result and Experience
1. Effect Assessment: Analyzed on the objects we collected, the total effectiveness is 91.6%, including the effectiveness against coronary heart disease and autonomic nerve disorder reached 92.5. The patients get better in different extents. With CCTI, the patients were satisfied with its therapeutic effect. In addition that the patients with coronary heart disease turned butter, their ECG also improved. Some recovered completely. CCTI has an obvious effect against the autonomic nerve disorder. During the treatment, some of them were found re-attack of diseases that at the beginning they turned better, but later the symptom re-appeared. If treatment continued, the result would be satisfying after 1-2 course of treatment. For the high blood pressure patients, the blood pressure may slightly increase after treatment, and will reduce if continuing the treatment. It is not necessary to stop treatment. For the patients with vertebro-basilar artery insufficiency , head dizziness may be improved after treatment. 18.4% of patients failed with the following possible reasons: ① Wrong choice of patients: such as heart failure of RHD, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, myocarditis and arthritis. ② Long course of illness or discontinuing of the treatment. ③ The patients with high blood pressure need long-term treatment, but they stopped treatment when the blood pressure restored to normal.
2. Indications: According to our use of this instrument for more than one year, this instrument has a good effect against the coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, chronic coronary artery insufficiency, autonomic nerve disorder and vertebro-basilar artery insufficiency. The effect for short-term high blood pressure disease is comparatively satisfactory and is better for long-term treatment. We failed to evaluate the effect against the post-cerebrovascular disease sequela and high fat because there were no enough cases.
3. Course of Treatment: Different diseases need different courses of treatment. Generally speaking, ① coronary heart disease patients need to maintain treatment for one month at least. ② For patients with autonomic nerve disorder, they usually need 1-2 weeks for treatment, and among our patients, some only needed 3 days. ③ there were few of patients with arteriosclerosis and atheromatous plaque. One case with carotid artery plaque continued the treatment, and when re-checked 2 months after the treatment, the result showed that the plaque was shrinking and all symptoms disappeared.④ Because of the fewer cases, we need the further observation on the patients with cerebrovascular disease.
4. Social Benefits: CCTI provided a new therapeutic method for cardio-/cerebrovascular diseases, enabling the clinical doctors with one more choice for treatment of such diseases. Through the preparatory clinic application, better effects were obtained, and CCTI is well accepted by clinic doctors and patients and worth being promoted.
Economic Benefits: Accounted based the cost of CCTI, we charge RMB yuan per time, and if there are 6-10 cases/times as per day, we can get good economic benefits. And the use of this instrument also can decrease the taking of drugs to reduce the cost which meets the related regulations.

Introduction to Typical Cases
Case 1: Huang XX, male, 52 years old.
his patient was admitted into the hospital for chest distress and short breath. ECG showed that V1~V5T wave was low, flat and reversed, and S-T had no deflection. Other tests did not show something special. After regular drug therapy, the symptoms showed no improvement, and no change happened by ECG recheck after 2 weeks. So we asked this patient to use CCTI. 30 times were carried out with 60 minutes per time. After that, the symptoms disappeared, and heart functions got improved. After ECG check, this patient recovered completely and he left the hospital.
Case 2: Coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, chromic coronary artery insufficiency.
Zhu XX, male, 54 years old
This patient was admitted into the hospital for the third time because of chest distress and short breath and precordial pain. ECG showed abnormal. After the regular treatment such as dilatation of blood vessels and promotion of blood circulation, the attacks of angina pectoris reduced, but chest distress still existed. Therefore, we used CCTI for his treatment, and after one week, chest distress recurred and V5-V6T wave became erected from two-way and inverted position. The patient left the hospital due to his financial arrangement and he failed to continue the treatment. After one month since he left the hospital, the symptoms recurred, and he got into this hospital for the fourth time. ECG showed V5-V6 T wave inverted. The patient asked to use CCTI for treatment, and now he is in the hospital for one-course treatment.
Case 3: Myocardosis (hypertrophy)
XU XX, male, 54 years old.
This patient was admitted into the hospital because of chest distress, precordial pain and short breath. He could not horizontally position himself on the bed. He had been in this hospital totaling more than 5 years. ECG showed that he had severe myocardial ischemia with clear S-T drift-down—0.4-0.5 MV. The whole course T wave was inverted and part of chest T wave was deeply inverted. He was diagnosed with angina pectoris, chronic coronary artery insufficiency and incompleteness of heart functions at the beginning. After regular drug therapy, the effect was not satisfactory. Later, he was conformed with hear tip hypertrophy-type myocardosis, myocardial ischemia and incompleteness of heart functions through coronary angiography. No change was found after ECG checks. The patient got worse in his subjective symptoms and did little exercise. The muscle of the lower limbs began to shrink. He could not live without the oxygen (about 1~2 times/day O2). Based on the above conditions, we try to treat him with CCTI and continued for 25 times, 60 minutes per time. The patient began to turn better with his self-feeling symptoms, the attacks of angina pectoris reduced, and the chest distress disappeared. ECG showed that chest T-wave became shallow from deep, V2~V5S-T depress improved from 0.4~0.5MV, moving downward 0.2-0.3 MV. The patient can live without oxygen and do some exercise off bed with a improved spirit. After the second course of treatment, he left the hospital.
Case 4: Autonomic Nerve Disorder
Wang XX, male, outpatient
The patient felt chest distressed with bad sleep and more sweat. Tests in many aspects (ECG, DCG, heart color Doppler, TCD, blood viscosity and blood fat) showed no abnormal. He was diagnosed with autonomic nerve disorder and began to use CCTI for treatment. After 5 days, the patient told that his sleeping turned better, and the symptoms of chest distress disappeared after 10-day treatment, such as general carotid atherosclerosis and the formation plaque.
Lin XX, female
The patient felt dizzied and the symptoms on head became severe. She had no obvious amaurosis and chest distress. After she was hospitalized, she was found with general carotid atherosclerosis and righteneral carotid artery plaque formed through tests. There was no clear improvement with antiatherosclerotic therapy. So later, we applied CCTI on this patient and continued for 30 days. After that, the dizziness disappeared completely. Checked by the color Doppler, the atheromatous plaque has no change, but the blood flow became faster than before during the period of systole and the period of diastole. After 40-day treatment, we carried out the color Doppler test again, it showed that the plaque on the right common caroyid artery began to shrink clearly.
